Locate a Justice of the Peace

Australian Justices of the Peace are appointed in and for each State and Territory and the registers of Justices of the Peace are maintained by each State and Territory Government:

• Australian Capital Territory
• New South Wales
• Northern Territory
• Queensland
• South Australia
• Tasmania
• Victoria
• Western Australia

Should you require the services of a Public Notary rather than a Justice of the Peace, lists of Public Notaries are available from the Supreme Court in each State or Territory. Please note that Public Notaries are permitted to charge for their services, unlike Justices of the Peace.
